Theatrical Lighting and Sound Designer
Empathy can be described as the exchange of energy between actors and audience, as well as the audience and itself. As theatrical designers our job is to help this energy flow unimpeded through the space.
Application Development
I started my career in application development building a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for a small lab in Salt Lake City Utah. As I learned and developed I served as a Business Application Manager for the Minnesota Department of Health. During this role my primary duties were around business analysis and application specifications. I later returned to Salt Lake City and joined MasterControl as an Enterprise Support Engineer. I still serve at MasterControl as a triage engineer on our preventative team.
Theatrical Design
A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, I made my start in theatre at Wasatch Junior High School. I moved to Minnesota to pursue my BFA in Theater in 2010. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2014 then moved to the Minneapolis area where I worked for Chanhassen Dinner Theaters. I also freelanced for many different theaters around the Twin Cities Area working as a Sound Engineer and Lighting technician.
